Sequencing to Transform

25 hour Yoga Teacher Training

THE ART OF SEQUENCING

This creative training will teach students and teachers the art of sequencing. Sequencing a vinyasa flow class is a skill that when done correctly, can leave students feeling transformed! When your sequence is effective, it supports the anatomical body and can access the vital energy inside, which creates lightness and bliss, that a true yoga practice offers.

Each morning begins with a two hour practice, followed by exploring the sequence and understanding what the anatomical component parts are used to teach certain postures. Understanding component parts help you to support the peak or the theme of the class and choose postures that counter these poses. We will also explore the subtle body, learning the vayus and chakras and how to access these internal places during practice. During the week, you will have access to Joan's zoom classes along with the recording and written sequence sent out after class for you to continue to understand how to create a sequence that is effective and transforms.

You will leave with a total of eight sequences that will all include different themes and a various selection of poses that take time to work into. Gain knowledge on how to create a sequence that is geared to a more physical practitioner and also understand how to reach a quieter place during practice with pranayama and meditation.

Joan has a lifetime of experience teaching yoga and movement and understands how to access these deeper aspects of the practice that create transformation. Develop an intuitive sense on how to sequence postures and help your students access postures they never thought they could do. This will be a great way to understand how to build a self practice that caters to your daily needs.Learn how your physical body works, as well as the other aspects of the yoga practice including how to integrate the subtle body, the therapeutic aspects, teach from a philosophical place, and how to make your sequencing accessible to everyone!
